Description
Passion, enthusiasm, and a deep desire to make music: that is what distinguishes a musician.
For the Flanders Recorder Quartet, music is an essential, indispensable enrichment of our
lives. It inspires, nourishes the fire, causes the body’s strings to vibrate, and lifts us up over the
boundaries of earthly existence. Being able to share music with one’s audience is a tremendous
gift, an art. Making music is not an Olympic discipline; the performer aspires to beauty and
authenticity, which cannot be measured. Whoever makes or hears music experiences an inner
happiness that is conveyed by this art, whereby the performer can only touch the listener if he,
too, lets himself be touched by the music. With this CD, we want to share our enthusiasm with
you.
